2021 – JUST ONE MONTH TO GO UNTIL RACING STAFF WEEK 2021

We are delighted to say that this year sees the fifth running of Racing Staff Week which is once again generously supported by Betfair.  The week, which runs from 16th – 23rd October will bring the racing industry and its followers together to showcase the passion, skill and dedication of ALL the staff, across the breadth of the industry, whose hard work makes our great sport possible.

This year’s Racing Staff Week will recognise the contribution of the industry’s entire workforce, from stud and stable staff to breeders, racecourse staff and administrators and everything in between.  The week will give staff the opportunity to come together both in person and through virtual initiatives.

Racing Welfare will have a presence on all courses racing during the week and we cannot wait to get back out and about on track to both meet the incredible staff who make our race days what they are as well as spreading the word to racing fans about the hard work that goes on behind the scenes.

One of the main activities of the week will be the Big Racing Staff Week Quiz, supported by Betfair, will take place on Thursday 21st October 2021.  This national quiz, hosted by racing presenters Niall Hannity and Vanessa Binnie-Ryle, will see racing and breeding staff across the country competing for the first prize of £500 high street vouchers.

Anyone working in the racing or breeding industry is encouraged to take part, with six regional events taking place during the evening in Newmarket, Lambourn, Epsom, Malton, Middleham and the West. Those who are not able to travel to the regional events will still be able to join the fun remotely via Zoom.

The aim of this event is to bring together the whole of the racing industry for some much-needed fun with a competitive edge.  Places at the regional events are limited and must be booked in advance. Click HERE for all the info you need.

Other highlights of the week which will kick of at Ascot on Champions Day include the Betfair Clock Tower Cup and the presentation of four regional Lifetime in Racing Awards.
